+ Application Background

Currently, the common method for dialysis hemostasis is the use of ordinary disinfectant cotton balls and dialysis bandages, which have low hemostatic efficiency and can cause irreversible damage to patients' blood vessels (such as dissecting aneurysms, vascular malformations, vascular stenosis, and fistula damage) with long-term use. There are similar dialysis hemostatic patch products abroad, but they are expensive, placing a significant financial burden on patients' families.

+ Clinical Application Value

  1. Rapid hemostasis, with an average hemostatic speed increased by 3-5 times;

  2. Effective sealing, the product carries a positive charge that attracts negatively charged blood cells to aggregate at the wound, forming a solid blood clot to quickly seal the bleeding point;

  3. Protects blood vessels, reducing irreversible damage to patients' blood vessels caused by prolonged use of bandages;

  4. Prevents infection, the positive charge on the product surface can adsorb the negative charge on the surface of microorganisms, providing antibacterial and infection-preventing effects.

+ Mechanism of Action

+ Usage Method

After completing hemodialysis, place the Chitosan-based Hemostatic Patch at the needle site (both sides of AⅠ and AⅡ types can be used; for BⅠ and BⅡ types, remove the release paper and place the absorbent core in contact with the needle site), withdraw the needle, and block blood flow for about 3~6 minutes. Leave the Chitosan-based Hemostatic Patch on the affected area and remove it after confirming hemostasis. This provides timely and effective hemostasis while effectively isolating bacteria, inhibiting bacteria, and protecting the wound to avoid infection.

Usage Method

Scope of Application: Suitable for hemostasis of arterial and venous wounds in hemodialysis.
